Recognition for excellence is about acknowledging and celebrating achievements that demonstrate outstanding performance which go above and beyond expectations.

The activities of Dr Victor Okolobah to reposition the Polytechnic for a global acclaim through carefully designed policies, programs and projects, has attracted recognition from both within the country and outside of the country.

On Wednesday April 30th, 2025, the Grow Africa Youth Initiative (GAYI) Ghana, visited the Polytechnic in recognition of the laudable contributions of Dr Victor Okolobah to the speedy growth and development of the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny.

The team led by Hon. Akufo Donald premised their recognition of Dr Victor Okolobah’s achievement on specific areas such as commitment to qualitative delivery of higher education, efficient management of resources, human capital development, open door policy of administration and excellent spirit to public service delivery.

In honour of the recognition of Dr Okolobah’s immense contributions to nation building and leadership mentorship, he was awarded with “THE KWAME NKRUMAH GROW AFRICA PRICE FOR EXCELLENCE AWARD”.

This award is a reflection of the already acknowledged performances of the administration of Dr Victor Okolobah and his Management team. Over the last few months, breathtaking and monumental progress has been recorded in the Polytechnic.

As the saying goes, to whom much is given, even more is expected. We at the Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, heartily congratulate the Rector, Dr Victor Okolobah on this well deserved award.

The future of the Polytechnic is on course for greater exploits.
