Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, is a federally funded and managed Institution located in Bonny Island, Rivers State, Nigeria. It was established by the Nigerian Federal Government, in the course of the administration of the erstwhile President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency, Dr Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.

The Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny was inaugurated a decade ago, precisely on the 14th June, 2014, amidst her counterpart, the Federal Polytechnic Ukana, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, Federal Polytechnic, Ile-Iloji and others.

The Polytechnic aims to provide specialized Technical and Vocational education tailored to the oil and gas industry, a pivotal sector for the Nigeria economy.
