
Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny was established by the Federal Government of Nigeria to train world class workforce for the Oil and Gas sector which is the mainstay of the nation’s economy.
The location is ideal for collaboration with industry and we will focus on teaching, training, re-training and research for the oil and gas sub sectors. The industry faces the challenge of finding world class graduates and this polytechnic will work on filling this gap. We intend to make the most of our opportunities to create an excellent culture of earning.
The Polytechnic aims to provide specialized Technical and Vocational education tailored to the oil and gas industry, a pivotal sector for the Nigeria economy.

The Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, maintains her partnerships with various industries, players both local and international, as well as the Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (*NLNG*) well orchestrated in Bonny Island. The Institution was accredited by the officials of the National Board for Technical Education (*NBTE*) led by its Secretary, Prof. Bugaje Team, and other relevant Educational bodies in Nigerian, ensuring that its Programs meets national Standards for Vocational and Technical Education.
More so, the Polytechnic may hold international accreditations as well as affiliations with professional organizations related to the Oil and Gas industry, further enhancing its global recognition and credibility.

With regard to the needs of the contemporary society and evolving nature of the gil and gas industry, the institution places a strong emphasis on research and development. This focus helps in addressing industry challenges, improving processes and developing new technologies.
