Positive development broadly refers to growth and progress, especially regarding people, organizations, or ecosystems. It can encompass individual growth, societal improvements, or even advancements in fields like technology or the environment. In essence, it is about moving in a direction that leads to improvement, well-being, and progress.
The Polytechnic, since the inception of the administration of Dr Victor Okolobah, has attracted positive development of all kinds from individuals, organizations and government agencies.
On Thursday, May 15th, 2025, the Federal Government, through the Federal Ministry of Finance under the YOUWIN program, visited the Polytechnic to deepen the practice of Entrepreneurship.
The YOUWIN Connect is a Multimedia Enterprise Education Program of the Federal Government of Nigeria through the Federal Ministry of Finance, which aims at promoting Entrepreneurship as a viable Career Option for young Nigerians. The program educates young Nigerians on Entrepreneurship and teaches them how they can PLAN, START and GROW a business. The Federal Government achieves this through the Enterprise Education Series, organized on campuses across the country.
The Polytechnic is a beneficiary of this milestone because of effective leadership communication and negotiation, which engender progress in and out of season.
The lecture series elaborated on the practical approaches and guides to how businesses could be planned, started and grown to unimaginable heights by adhering to laid down principles.
This laudable achievement could not have been possible without the pragmatic and dynamic insights of the Director of Entrepreneurship and Educational Development Services (DEEDs), Engr. Abiye Aseminaso. He and the Rector, in synergy made it happen.
Students of the Polytechnic were excited about the prospects of an education with the possibilities of financial freedom through entrepreneurship.
