The Federal Polytechnic of Oil and Gas, Bonny, has successfully conducted the Students’ Union Government (SUG) election as part of efforts to ensure a seamless transition in the leadership of the student body.
The election process was designed to further entrench democratic values and promote representative governance among students. The exercise provided an opportunity for members of the student community to participate in a credible and transparent process aimed at strengthening student leadership and institutional harmony.
Notably, the election was peaceful, orderly, and devoid of rancour, reflecting the maturity, cooperation, and sense of responsibility demonstrated by students and stakeholders throughout the exercise.
The successful conduct of the election marks another important step in sustaining a stable and inclusive student leadership structure at FPOG.
